Composing and scheduling

Use the calendar

The Calendar shows every scheduled and published post in a Day, Week, Month or List view, and you move a post by dragging it to another day.

Last updated
  1. Open Calendar. It is the default landing page.
  2. Switch the view with the Calendar view control: Day, Week, Month or List. Go to today brings you back.
  3. Narrow the view with the channel, tag and customer filters. The channel filter starts at All channels.
  4. Drag a post to another day, or open it to change the time.

What dragging does

Dropping a post on another day moves it there and keeps its time of day, read in the time zone the post was written for. Every channel of the post moves together. Dropping it on the day it is already on does nothing.

Dropping on a past day is refused: "That time has passed. Pick a future slot, or open the post to publish now." A day where that time does not exist because clocks skip forward is refused too, and the way out is to open the post and set a time. If the post has already gone out, the calendar tells you "This post has already gone out" and offers to correct our copy of it or to publish what you have as a new post; it never un-publishes anything from the platform.

Create a post from here

The Create post button on the calendar opens the composer. A post's chip carries its status, so a failed one is visible at a glance, and opening a chip takes you to the post with its channels and their individual statuses. The guide to rescheduling a week in one go shows the drag in practice.

Too many posts in one range

If a range holds more than the calendar can show, it says so. Use the channel, tag or customer filters, or the List view, to see the rest.

If it did not work

If a drop did not stick, "One post is still moving. Wait for it to finish, then try that one again." means a previous move had not finished. If the connection dropped, the calendar reloads and "Nothing has been lost". A post only changes status when the server says so, never because you moved it.
