Connect ChatGPT to NioConnect

Add one address, sign in once, then ask ChatGPT to draft posts. You review them on the calendar.

Set up ChatGPT in three steps

You sign in and press Allow. Nothing is pasted and nothing is stored. The connection acts with your role, checked on every call, and can use only the six tools.

  1. Copy your workspace address

In NioConnect open Developers and choose ChatGPT. The address there is yours.

    Connector address
    <your workspace MCP address>
  2. Add it to ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, add this address wherever it asks for a connector or MCP server URL.

  3. Sign in and allow

ChatGPT opens NioConnect so you can sign in. Press Allow, then ask for a draft.

Nobody has connected ChatGPT to NioConnect from end to end, so this one is not proven.

Placeholders only. The Developers page in the app fills in your own address and key.

ChatGPT, asking for a draft

A scripted run with the server’s real tool names, and what you then see in NioConnect.

You: Draft a launch post for Bluesky and Mastodon. Do not schedule it.

Assistant: Checking which channels are connected and what Bluesky accepts.

Tool call, list-channels: 2 channels: Bluesky and Mastodon, both healthy

Tool call, get-platform-rules: Text, images with alt text, threads

Tool call, create-post: Saved as a draft. Nothing is scheduled.

Assistant: Saved as a draft on your calendar. Nothing goes out until you review it and schedule it yourself.

What it can do

What ChatGPT can do in NioConnect

An assistant gets the same rules as you

Nothing about connecting an AI client loosens how publishing works.

Same validation as you

A post an assistant creates is checked against the same platform rules as one you write. One a platform would refuse comes back with the reason, and nothing is saved.

Approval still applies

When your workspace requires approval, a scheduled post waits for it like any other. Assistants save drafts by default and cannot publish immediately.

You can tell what it made

A post created through an AI client is marked as made by an AI assistant on the calendar and in the post details, so nothing arrives unlabelled.

Emergency stop and revocable keys

An emergency stop holds an assistant’s posts like anyone’s. Revoke a key or a connection and access ends at once. A key never has more than its Member’s permissions.

Try asking

Prompts that work with the six tools

Copy one into your client. It reads your channels and rules, and saves a draft when you ask for one.

  • Which of my channels are connected, and are any unhealthy?
  • What does Bluesky accept in a post?
  • Draft a launch post for Bluesky and Mastodon. Do not schedule it.
  • What is scheduled this week, and is anything waiting on approval?
  • Which workflows copy one channel to another, and when do they post next?
  • Draft a three post thread about our release for Mastodon.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer?

Is ChatGPT proven to work?
Nobody has connected ChatGPT to NioConnect from end to end, so this one is not proven.
Where do I get the address?
The Developers page in the app shows the connector address for your workspace. This page only shows a placeholder.
What can ChatGPT do once it is connected?
It has six tools: five that only read your channels, a platform’s rules, posts and workflows, and one that saves a draft post.
Can ChatGPT publish without my approval?
It saves drafts by default and only sets a time when you ask for one. If your workspace requires approval, a scheduled post waits for it like any other. A time that has already passed is refused.
What access does the connection get?
ChatGPT signs in over OAuth and acts with the role of the Member who pressed Allow, checked on every call, and can use only the six tools. You see the permissions before you press Allow.
How do I disconnect?
Revoke the connection on the Developers page. Access ends immediately.
