Composing and scheduling

Cancel or edit a scheduled post

Open a scheduled post and use Edit this post, Reschedule or Cancel this post; a post that has already gone out cannot be taken back from the platform.

Last updated
  1. Open the post from Calendar or Posts.
  2. To change its time, use Reschedule: set a New time and choose Move this post.
  3. To change its text or media, choose Edit this post in Change or cancel. It opens in the composer.
  4. To stop it, choose Cancel this post and confirm.

Reschedule

Move this post moves every channel of the post at once. The times are shown in the zone the post was written for, and a time in the past or one that does not exist in that zone is refused with a reason. The post is queued again at its new time.

Cancel

The confirmation reads "Cancel this post?" and tells you how many channels will not go out. Anything already published stays where it is, and the dialog's other button is Keep it. After cancelling, a receipt says how many were pulled and how many had already published. A cancelled post will not go out and cannot be sent by accident later.

If the post was waiting for review, Take out of review puts it back in drafts, ready to edit, with its time intact.

Published is final

Once a platform has the post, NioConnect cannot unpublish it. Cancel only stops channels that have not gone out yet. Delete a published post on the platform itself.

If it did not work

The editor and cancel controls only appear for channels that can still change. If a post "is past its time" the screen warns it may be going out right now and offers to change it or publish what you have as a new post. A teammate who cancels your post, or takes it out of review, triggers a notice to you saying who did it. If a refusal appears, the screen re-reads the post, because it has usually started going out or been moved by someone else.
