Connect an account with a link
To let someone else connect their own account to your workspace, create a connect link on the Channels page and send it to them; it works once by default and you see it only once.
Last updated- Open Channels and choose the Links tab, then Create link. In the Add a channel dialog the same option is called Create a link to send.
- In Create a connect link, pick a Platform (or Any platform) and how many Times it can be used.
- If you work with customers, pick a Customer the new channel should be labelled for.
- Choose Create link, then Copy link straight away and send it. It is shown once, right after you create it; nobody can show it to you again.
What the other person sees
They need no NioConnect account. The page shows the workspace name, the platform and one sentence about what the connection lets the workspace do, then sends them to the platform's own approval screen. For Bluesky, Nostr and Mastodon the page asks for the app password, key or server address instead.
Afterwards the workspace can publish to the account they chose and see what it published. They can disconnect from the platform itself at any time.
Managing links
The Links tab splits links into Active and Used. Each shows when it expires. A link can be used at most 25 times; most are single use. You are notified when someone connects through it. To cancel a link, revoke it: "The link stops working immediately. Any channel already connected through it stays connected."
Anyone holding an unused link can attach an account to your workspace. Send it privately, and revoke it if it ends up somewhere it should not be.
If it did not work
The recipient sees one sentence for every unusable link: "This link cannot be used right now. Ask the person who sent it to you to get in touch." It is deliberately the same for expired, used up, revoked and unknown links, so the page cannot be used to probe for working ones. The fix is always a fresh link. A separate "could not open the link" screen with a Retry button means something on our side is not answering; the link itself is fine.
