Platform availability, shown as it is
Sixteen platforms are built. Fifteen are Available and one, Reddit, is Coming soon. Here is what those two words mean, and what they leave out.

One answer for the page and the app
The platforms page and the app agree. A platform marked Available can be connected today. Reddit is marked Coming soon, and its page does not offer a connect button. The onboarding step that asks you to connect a first channel offers only platforms you can actually connect, drawn from the same source.
We keep it a single answer because two answers drift. A marketing page that lists a platform the app cannot connect is a promise the product has not kept, and the person reading it finds out after they have signed up.
The platforms, and what each takes
Every platform has its own page with its real limits. This table is a summary of the same data, so a quick comparison does not need sixteen tabs.
| Platform | Status | Text | Media |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bluesky | Available | 300 characters | Up to 4 images |
| Mastodon | Available | Your server's limit, 500 assumed | Up to 4 images |
| X | Available | 280 characters | Up to 4 images |
| Threads | Available | 500 characters | Up to 10 images or videos |
| Telegram | Available | 4,096 characters | Up to 10 images |
| Discord | Available | 1,980 characters | One image |
| Slack | Available | 40,000 characters | Up to 10 images |
| Twitch | Available | 500 characters | Text only |
| Nostr | Available | 100,000 characters | Up to 10 image links |
| Available | 63,206 characters | Up to 10 images or a video | |
| Available | 2,200 characters | Required, up to 10 items | |
| Available | 3,000 characters | Up to 20 images, or a video | |
| YouTube | Available | Title up to 100 | Every post is one video |
| TikTok | Available | Title up to 2,000 | A video or up to 35 photos |
| Available | Description up to 500 | Required, up to 5 images | |
| Coming soon | 10,000 characters | One image |
Each row links to something more exact: see Bluesky, X, Instagram and the rest from the platforms page. How the differences play out in one post is the subject of one post, five platforms.
What Available means in practice
Available means an adapter exists, it passes the same contract checks as every other, and you can connect an account today. It does not mean every account will feel identical. Some platforms ask a second question after you sign in: which Telegram chat, which Discord server channel, which Facebook Page, which Pinterest board, which YouTube channel, whether LinkedIn should post as your profile or a Page. Others, like Bluesky and X, post as the account itself and have no second step.
A few need something before you press Connect. Instagram wants a professional account. Facebook wants a Page you administer. Discord wants permission to manage the server. Bluesky, Telegram and Nostr ask for a credential you create yourself. The platform page says what to have ready, and the connect guides go through the manual ones.
Why a platform can still limit what a post reaches
Several platforms review the apps that publish to them, and until an app has passed, they restrict what it may do. A platform may confine an unreviewed app to posts only the account owner can see, lock a video to private, or limit how many calls a development account may make. That is the platform's decision, not a setting in NioConnect.
This is why availability and reach are separate questions. Available answers whether you can connect and publish through the adapter. What a given platform lets an app's posts do is governed by that platform's review state, which can change on their timetable. If a platform page notes a condition, believe the page over the logo.
The alternative is to show every logo as equal and let you find out after you have set things up. A short statement of what works now saves you that.
Plans and platforms are separate
Plans differ by channels, posts, seats, customers and the approval workflow. They do not differ by platform. Reddit is Coming soon on every plan, and every other platform is available on every plan. The reasoning, with the actual numbers read from the plan catalogue, is in why every plan has every platform, and the pricing page shows what each plan includes.
Reading a platform page
Each platform page states the text limit and the unit it counts in, the media it accepts and whether media is required, what the adapter publishes, how connecting works, and what to have ready. It also says whether posting there reaches a community and so needs approval by default. The numbers are written down from the adapters, the code that actually checks your post, so a page and the composer cannot quietly disagree.
Some limits depend on you rather than on the platform alone. A Mastodon server sets its own length, and NioConnect asks the server instead of assuming; it only falls back to five hundred when the server does not say. X counts links and some characters differently from how they look, and a verified account may write longer. The composer applies the right count for the channel in front of it.
If something on a page looks out of date, tell us through the contact page. A stated limit that is wrong is a bug in the page, and we would rather fix it than have you discover it with a refused post.
How a status changes
When Reddit becomes connectable, its status changes in one place and the page, the connect picker and the onboarding step change together, because they all read the same source. Until then it reads Coming soon, and we will not suggest otherwise.
